The department has the aim to play an important role to fulfill the demand of skilled IT professionals in Gujranwala-Sialkot industrial region in particular and in rest of Pakistan in general.
The particular skills in which the mechanical engineer acquires deeper knowledge are the ability to understand the forces and the thermal environment that a product, its parts, or its subsystems will encounter; design them for functionality, aesthetics.
The Electrical Engineering Program at Rachna College of Engineering & Technology, Gujranwala is one of the most popular Engineering Program of the region. The Electrical Engineering Department at RCET has continued this legacy ever since its establishment in 2003.
Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Department offers various courses keeping in view the specific requirements of manufacturing industry and organizations providing engineering services.
The RCET provides facilities to the students for participation in games and sports, both outdoors and indoors. Facilities are provided for all the major sports including cricket, Hockey, foot Ball, tennis, badminton, basketball, table Tennis, Body Building and athletics.
It has four main sections i.e. Circulation, Reference, Book Bank and Serial section. Currently it has seating capacity of about 40 readers. It has significantly improved its book holding and it is going through an ambitious program of computerization of its services and operation. It is a lending library and most of its holdings are available to members on loan. The library holdings can be browsed through an Internet based fully searchable catalogue. In the expansion plan there is a dedicated building for the library.
To provide the prayers facility to the students and staff, a beautiful mosque is situated at midway of the Staff Colony and the hostel.
